VTest Guide to Reasonable Adjustments
VTest is committed to ensuring that all candidates have a fair opportunity to demonstrate their language ability.
If you have a disability, medical condition, or specific learning need, you may request a reasonable adjustment to support your access to the test.
1. Before You Apply
VTest provides a range of built-in accessibility tools that are available to all candidates and do not require approval. These tools allow you to adjust how the test is displayed and navigated, without affecting the test content, timing, or scoring. We recommend reviewing the Accessibility Tools Guide before submitting a request, as these features may already meet your needs.
2. When to Request an Adjustment
You should submit a request if:
- the available accessibility tools are not sufficient, and
- your condition affects your ability to take the test under standard conditions
3. What Adjustments May Be Available
Depending on your needs, VTest may provide:
- extra time (25% or 50%)
- rest breaks between modules
- individual or reduced-distraction test settings
- adjustments to the testing workstation
- support from an assistant (for access only, not for answering)
All requests are reviewed individually.
4. How to Apply
To request an adjustment, complete the Online Reasonable Adjustments Request Form below.
You will need to:
- describe your needs
- specify the adjustment(s) requested
- provide supporting documentation (if required)
All requests and supporting documentation must be submitted at least four weeks before your preferred test date.
5. Important Information
- Adjustments do not change the test content or scoring
- In some cases, available adjustments may not fully meet your needs
- You will be informed of the outcome before booking your test
