Web accessibility at VTEST
As websites become more and more elaborate in their design, one of the pitfalls that many companies with an online presence forget is that accessibility for all can unfortunately take a step back. Those with disabilities and visual impairments often feel as though they have been left behind, with their needs not being taken into consideration.
We recognise that an enjoyable user experience should be a priority for all users, regardless of physical or learning abilities. We are committed to providing the best user experience for all our users, and this includes those with disabilities. We ensure such a user experience by using recognised standards and the most innovative technology.
What kind of disabilities are catered for?
- Visual impairment
- Auditory problems
STANDARDS & COMPLIANCE
VTEST’s best-in-class accessibility solutions ensure the testing platform is ADA and WCAG 2.1 compliant. The WCAG offers recommendations in the form of ‘checkpoints’ for design practices. Full details of the W3C Web Accessibility Guidelines can be found at: www.w3.org/TR/WCAG21 .
In addition to this, the VTEST solution is also in conformity with EU regulations.
How it works
When you take your test, you will see a green button on the right-hand side, where you will be able to access the necessary features which best suit your accessibility needs (for example, the screen magnifier or page reader).
Once the right feature is selected, this will automatically be embedded into all the pages within the testing platform. The other advantage is that this has been rigorously tested and optimized to ensure there is no impact on your site’s load time.
This accessibility solution is available on all VTEST platforms, including the website, while taking the exam and accessing test results.
